Mykita has received much acclaim for their creative concepts and fashion forward designs, and their recent collaboration sunglasses ($499) with Rad Houran shows that they are worthy of all the praise. These limited edition Rad unisex sunglasses are made from black polyamide and have a unique angular frame shape. While they are creative, I’m not so sure about their use for everyday wear. What do you think? See pics below.
Rad Hourani is a young Jordan-Canadian fashion designer who launched his self titled label from Paris in 2007 with the aim of going against the grain and shattering conventional wisdom. He has since become known for creating contemporary designs that can be worn by either men or women during any season. Understanding that there’s a barrier between the runway and everyday wear, Hourani decided to help bring his advant-garde style to the masses by introducing his more affordable Rad by Rad Hourani line. One of the most intriguing pieces from the Rad by Rad Hourani collection are these transformable jackets (white denim – $450, black crepe & PVC – $490), which convey Hourani’s concept of no gender and no rules while maintaining his pledge of high quality at a lower cost.
