Italian car-makers Lamborghini are granting the one wish that all police officers have, that is to cruise around in style in a bat-mobile. They may not be able to provide a bat-mobile but this is as close at it gets. Lamborghini is giving the Italian state police their own collection of the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 police vehicle (polizia supercar). This new model will replace the previous Gallardo donated to Italian state police back in 2004.
All I can say is Damn! I would love to be an Italian state police officer right now. I’m sure that Italians are lining up outside the Italian police academy because they know that this might be their one chance in life to drive a Lamborghini or even ride in one.
The Gallardo LP560-4 police vehicle reaches maximum speeds of 203MPH, has real-time automatic license plate recognition which can be sent to police headquarters, video GPS data tracking that can also be sent to HQ in real-time, and a trunk with a refrigerator for emergency organ transportation.
