Mykita teamed up with singer, Beth Ditto, from the band “Gossip”, to create her very own pair of “Beth” sunglasses ($350). Featuring violet gradient lenses set in frames of vivid purple, and in white, these specs showcase a pointy, over-sized cat-eye shape made from lightweight stainless steel, accentuated with delicate cut-outs. Would you add these sunglasses to your collection, ladies?
Mykita has received much acclaim for their creative concepts and fashion forward designs, and their recent collaboration sunglasses ($499) with Rad Houran shows that they are worthy of all the praise. These limited edition Rad unisex sunglasses are made from black polyamide and have a unique angular frame shape. While they are creative, I’m not so sure about their use for everyday wear. What do you think? See pics below.
In order to celebrate its worldwide success, Mykita is releasing a special gold edition of their popular “Franz” sunglasses. The Franz model spawned from Mykita’s collaboration with German designer Bernhard Willhelm and was named after 1976 Austrian downhill skiing Winter Olympics winner Franz Klammer. With design influences being drawn from winter sports, these lightweight shades have aviator frames with gold coated lenses. The limited edition Mykita x Bernhard Willhelm”Franz’ 24K sunglasses are being offered in gold & black each with a price tag of ($775).CONTINUE
Mykita Flash sunglasses ($495) from the Spring/Summer 09 collection were designed with the overall aim of adding bold vibrant colors to Mykita’s Collection No. 1. With this being the first installment of the Flash line, Mykita was sure to use the finest quality color coating Swiss lacquer. The Mykita Flash shades are available in three of their signature aviator frames; Rolf, Hector, and Elliot. Each frame comes in colors neon yellow, blazing orange, & vibrant tank grey and I have no doubt that these are true attention grabbers.
