“Watches For The Few Since 1791” This quote by Swiss watchmakers, Girard-Perregaux, sums it up right there for you because only the “few” will ever have an opportunity to slap one of these luxury time pieces around their wrist. The rest will only be allowed to spectate online or a catch glimpse on television. Although all Girard-Perregaux watches present elegance to the highest degree, only one collection truly takes the cake and that is the Vintage 1945 Girard-Perregaux collection. These bad boys if I must say are breathtaking.

Designed in 1945 with a rectangular contour and sapphire crystals in a period when watch making was in the mists of a reprise. The 1945 model created motivation to design a modern replica in 1995 entitled the ” Vintage 1945″ which has since then become the front face of the brand. There are several variations of the Vintage 1945 time piece available for men and women ranging in prices from $5,000 to $25,000. Remember these are not for everyone, only a few, but I can assure you, having one of these draped around your wrist will surely set the tone for any outfit.

  • Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe: Pininfarina’s “Hyperion”

    by Kyle O.

Rolls-Royce has just debuted their new luxury vehicle the two seat convertible Phantom coupe Pininfarina “Hyperion”, named after a Titan in Greek Mythology. The new state of the art design by Pininfarina, meshes the 1930’s old with the 2000’s new by bringing back some of the past influences and intertwining them with recent innovations. The Hyperion has a convertible wide-screen and a cockpit. And the most interesting part about the Hyperion is that it has a gun rack for holding guns or rifles. My question is have previous Rolls-Royce owners been complaining about the lack of gun holders in their cars? I mean what kind of drive by shootings are these people doing that they need a gun rack, but I guess maybe it’s for hunting-but who hunts with a Rolls-Royce. The Hyperion will also come equipped with a luxury limited edition timepiece from the watch designer Girard-Perregaux.  The piece can be removed from its designated cradle on the dashboard and placed on a specially crafted bracelet that can be worn on the wrist. The Hyperion goes 0-60 in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 155mph-that’s interestingly slower than expected but its beauty makes up for it. Price tag: $412,000
