John Brevard is a Florida native with a very extensive background in the design industry. He’s an architect, artist, and designer that is motivated by metaphysical and ecological design. Having already made his mark in the art world with his sculptures, drawings, installations, and paintings, Brevard is now poised to take on the fine jewelry industry with his innovative conversational style. The first collection, which is scheduled for a Spring 2012 release, will feature five multidimensional architectural geometries through a series of jewelry lines such as Fabri, Morphogen, Spherical, Verahedra, and Orthofract. Brevard’s vision is based on sacred geometries with the use of gold, silver, and precious stones as his canvas. We can expect to see masterpieces that can be worn for any occasion. What do you think of John Brevard’s Collection? See more of the jewelry collection below.

November 14, 2011 2

French born, Japan based designer Julien David got his start in NY and spent time working for Narciso Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren before launching his own label in 2008. While mostly known for his whimsical pill popping silk scarves, he has produced a ready to wear collection for the past 3 seasons. Our good friends over at The Webster Miami sent us these black leather French Brogue Wingtip Boots ($520) from Julien David’s most recent collection, which come up above the ankle and are finished with a bright blue sole. They have a very durable design quality, and at times can be loose, but not at all sloppy. See more pics below

Chanel Deer ($7,000)

Peter Gronquist is an Oakland, CA based artist who received his Bachelor of Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2001, and then went on to make his mark with a unique combination of sculpture and weaponry. He recently held an exhibit at Gallery 1988 in Venice Beach, California titled “The Evolution Will Be Fabulous”, which featured mounted head and full body animal taxidermy attached with gold and silver assault rifles. For the taxidermy process, Peter normally finds the animal pieces on eBay, removes the antlers himself, and then adds the weapon sculpture.  He uses real guns for the blinged out faux designer weaponry, but fake guns for the taxidermy because they’re too heavy. The pieces from the “The Evolution Will Be Fabulous” exhibit range from ($500-$10,000). Check out the other pieces below.
