Cazal Eyewear Turns 40, Debuts Spring 2016 Collection In NYC With Tyson Beckford & More
If you grew up on Hip-Hop, then you are fully aware that Cazal lenses are a staple in urbanwear. The brand gained its popularity in the 1980s, after being embraced by inner-city youths who quickly deemed the large, gold trimmed frames as a symbol of status and wealth. It’s no wonder Cazal is one of the most requested accessories sported by iconic legends such as Run DMC, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Nas and more.
On May 5, Cazal Eyewear celebrated their 40th anniversary at Limelight Shops in Manhattan’s Chelsea district with Tyson Beckford, debuting the 2016 Spring Collection for a select group of press members.
Some of the styles on display included Cazal 607 – Retail $500 (old school style originally released in 1977 known as Gazelles); Cazal 644 – Retail $575 (old school style originally released in 1991) and new designs like Cazal 659 – Retail $575 and Cazal 905 – retail $550.
