We caught up with DC rapper Wale during the Heineken Red Star Access Tour, and talked style and music. He gave us the low down on how the DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia) has influenced his style, talked about his extensive sneaker collection, his favorite denim brands, signing to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group label, and he broke down his outfit for us.   People who say stuff like “how can grown man be excited about sneakers?” or “why are his pants sagging?” or “grown man shouldn’t wear snapback” need to understand that these guys are rappers and rap fashion was always about sneakers, caps, sagging your pants, street wear etc. These guys need to add that “hip hop flavor” to their outfits because they represent that culture and music. You wouldn’t hate on a rockstar for wearing leather pants right???
