I just bought the Capri's... I have to say it was like the stars were aligned. I wandered into a Barney's Co OP with a friend of mine, not even on the market for shoes.( I was in company of a good friend who needed a wardrobe overhaul.) I saw these shoes like a beacon of light. I immediately turned the shoe over and saw three things that struct me. Size 11, 425.00, LAST ONE scribbled in red pen. I often have difficulty finding a shoe that represents the way i feel. When i slipped the Capri on it was perfection. I've never had a shoe automatically be so tailored to my foot and personality. not to mention in my exact size, not to mention the last shoe in the company...( or so the sales clerk says) I was also intrigued that i could Zip off the TOP! which is Awesome because it transforms into the coolest Boat Shoe. The zipper seam around the top gives the shoe an unusual refined edge. The tongue is also white on the inside- once unzipped- it flips white side up to tuck beneath the laces, and squares off just below the bottom eyelet. They're fuckin' Cool. I also took the unzipped tops, added laces, and wore them on another pair of grey thin leathered shoes. Somewhat like a modern Spat. I Have to say that i feel like i got Three shoes in One. I've never payed more than 150 dollars for shoes. It was unreal how easy it was for me to assuredly make this purchase. Especially in a recession, and Especially with Christmas abound. The sales Clerk also said that only 18 were made for the company. After he said that it only affirmed the little devil on my shoulder to bury my conscience. I don't think the sales clerk was lying.. he himself seemed a bit taken aback by how hastily I made the purchase. Anyway, they're awesome, and i will be buried in them.
